The shield of God around me
Ps 5:12 “For You, O LORD, will bless the righteous; With favor You will surround him as with a shield.” While there are many unknowns I will be facing in this new year, I am glad for the certainty that if I stay close to God He will protect me.
"Now make us a king to judge us like all the nations"
1 Sam 8:6-7 “But the thing displeased Samuel when they said, ‘Give us a king to judge us.’ So Samuel prayed to the LORD. 7 And the LORD said to Samuel, ‘Heed the voice of the people in all that they say to you; for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected Me, that I should not reign over them’.”
It is rather interesting to see history repeat itself.
